“Little hands big dreams”
Laying down strong foundation by sowing seeds for a green future, talks about the vision and culture of an institution.
From the day of its inception (2001) till date NHVPS RR nagar branch, Bengaluru has developed a unique culture and tradition of planting saplings by every new student of Pre- primary and primary school.
It was fun to play and plant saplings with the young enthusiastic tiny tots along with their parents and take them for a green tour of the campus. They became aware of the sustainable practices of the school like – organic gardening, vermi composting, rain water harvesting, STP and water recycling.
Over the years the biodiversity of the campus has grown tremendously, consisting of over 1000 flowering ,fruiting plants and large trees, which are providing habitat and attracting over 80 species of birds, 100+ species of butterflies and moths, snakes, bats, owls and many more other organisms.
The school garden has transformed into nature’s own outdoor learning classroom.
