Nature exploration trail at Biopark-Bangalore University campus for Nature club students of Carmel High school, Basaveshwar nagar- 27.8.24
“When Nature is our teacher”-Outdoor classrooms clear our concepts and help to understand the purpose better than the books.
This was evident in the joy and excitement of ‘Carmel Eco-warriors’ club members.
Students observed biodiversity of Biopark at Bangalore University and collected samples of soil, water, and different types of leaves. They were able to grasp the significance of healthy soil and forest ecosystems by noting the variety of insects in the grass and soil, which are fundamental to food chains and webs.
They will be conducting tests in labs to check the quality and condition of the water and soil and will be able to relate to why green cover is necessary in urban planning.
